Bill to Scrutinize Carbon Offsets Canceled

Senator Monique Limón canceled her bill to scrutinize corporate climate offsets. SB 1036 would have applied existing law against false advertising to outlaw fraudulent claims and other misconduct related to carbon offsets. The bill was set for a hearing in the Assembly Natural Resources Committee.
